When Ameesha Patel lost her cool on the media

Actress Ameesha Patel, who has grabbed headlines for wrong reasons more than the right ones in her 15-year-long career, has done it yet again. Recently, the actress was seen in a very foul mood on the sets of her upcoming film 'Bhaiyajji Superhitt' which has been in the making for more than half a decade. Reportedly, the actress was totally unaware that the producer and director had arranged for media interactions with the star cast. Strangely, none of the actors, including Sunny Deol, Ameesha and Preity Zinta were aware about this development till they spotted media on the sets. Ameesha, who was in a foul mood for not being informed about the press meet, vented out her anger on the press people. When addressed as Ameesha, the actress shot back saying, 'Ameeshaji boliye'. It just doesn't end here. Later, when the actress was asked about her disappearance act for three years after a dud like Shortcut Romeo in 2013, the actress retaliated at the journo saying that if he had brains, he would know that she was busy setting up her production house. Sadly, the media had to bear the brunt of Ameesha's bad mood and that too for no fault of theirs.

Manish Paul is one of the finest TV hosts and there is no denying that. His skills have always kept him at the top and lead him to far off places and event. The Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 9 host, who has many hit shows to his credit, has turned 35 today.

Hailing from Delhi, Manish has always been into compering shows, be it at school or college level. His charm is unparallel and he is loved by all the judges when he is on the stage.

Manish's career took off in 2002, when he started hosting the show 'Sunday Tango' on Star Plus. Apart from that, in his initial days he was a VJ with Zee Music and a Radio Jockey. Currently hosting Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 9, which is judged by Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ganesh Hegde, Manish has earlier been Madhuri's favourite in previous seasons.

This would come nothing less than a shock for the fans of Preity Zinta who love and admire her for her cool-headed attitude and poise. The latest reports suggest that the actress staged a walkout from the sets of her forever-in-the-making film 'Bhaiyyaji Superhitt'. Yes, you read that right! The dimpled star, who is otherwise known to be a calm and composed on her film sets, was fuming when left the film sets. Reason? Well, the producer and the director of the film had arranged for a press meet with the star cast, including Sunny Deol, Preity and Ameesha Patel. Reports suggest that strangely, none of the actors were informed in advance about the press interactions and hence, when Preity was told about the press meet at the nth minute, she was furious and left the spot. It was only after much pleading and cajoling by the producer and the director that she finally agreed to interact with the media. Wish the makers had informed the actors beforehand; things could have been way smoother and peaceful. Sigh!

Anas Rashid, who plays the male lead, said, "I am having mixed feelings as the show is getting over now. On one hand, we are sad that this five-year journey ends here and on the other, I am happy that my role was challenging. It calmed and sobered me down in many ways in life. I am looking forward to newer opportunities."

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's show 'Naamkarann' will replace 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'.

Arjun Bijlani to play a jinn in 'Kawach'

Following his last stint on 'Naagiin', Arjun Bijlani will be seen continuing his love affair with the supernatural genre as he is all set to enter another fantasy thriller 'Kawach... Kali Shaktiyon Se'. He'll be the latest star addition to a show that has a stellar cast of Mona Singh, Vivek Dahiya and Ssara Khan. Unlike his human avatar in his previous show, Arjun will play a supernatural character of a powerful jinn (a genie) in this one.

A source associated with the show informs, "Arjun will play Aryan, a Casanova who has women swooning over him. He enters the show as Paridhi's (Mona Singh) saviour. He helps her to catch Manjulika (Ssara Khan) and more later. Her husband Rajbir (Vivek Dahiya) gets jealous of Aryan and suspects him of being romantically involved with her. But the reality is that they are just friends. Unfortunately, jinns are not allowed to have relationships with humans."

Shiny Doshi is unhappy with her track in 'Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant' and has decided to quit the show. The actress, who was introduced as Shaan's (Karan V Grover) love interest just two months ago on the show, feels that her character has not shaped up the way it should have. She says, "It was supposed to be a triangle where I was the other woman in the lead actor's life. But my character was not developed well and there was no scope for improvement either. There was no challenge while performing any scene. And then suddenly a decision was taken to turn the character negative. So, I have decided to quit the show."

A source from the production house confirmed that Shiny's track will end soon and the focus will be back on Shaan and Rajni, whose chemistry the masses seem to like better. Ask Karan about this and he replies, "Rajni and Shaan have always shared a great chemistry, so that was not the only reason for Shiny's track to end. Shiny is a good actress but there was not much drama in this track and maybe that's why the ratings dipped."

Ever since the sequel of 'Baaghi' (2016) was announced, its casting has been drawing a lot of attention. According to sources, while Tiger Shroff will be playing the lead again, either Jacqueline Fernandez or Kriti Sanon will bag the role opposite him in the second instalment, which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
While Jacqueline has worked with Sajid's banner in the 'Housefull' franchise and 'Kick', Kriti's debut, 'Heropanti', was produced by him, too and she considers him her mentor. It will be interesting to see who bags the coveted project.
Also, the sequel will be directed by choreographer-director, Ahmed Khan and not Sabbir Khan, who helmed the first. Sources say Sabbir has to move on to his next with Tiger, which is why he has handed over the baton to Ahmed. Our source adds, "Ahmed is a fabulous choreographer and Tiger, a fantastic dancer. Their combination will be really good."
