You heard it right. Rumors are afloat that Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are playing a cameo in Rajinikanth's mega-budget project, 2.0. 

Currently, the crew of Shankar's film has camped in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi, for a football sequence and the theme is Indian Football League. Reportedly, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar will be shooting for a fighting sequence on the sets. With a section of the stadium adorned with inflated balloons with imprint of the IFL logo and inflated football tied to ribbons all around the stadium, the part of the area seemed to be ready for a gripping football match. Some corners of the stadium's area had posters that read Chennai versus Mumbai match hanging on the edges of the seating arrangements. It is a well-known fact that Abhishek Bachchan is a co-owner of Chennaiyin Football Club, and there is a high possibility that the makers will rope in both Abhishek and Amitabh to play cameos in the film. Many junior artists were seen at the stadium, and it is said that they were playing the audiences of the football match. One of the junior artists, who spoke to IANS on the condition of anonymity, alluded that the two Bollywood stars are likely to appear in the film. He claimed that megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with his son Abhishek will add more star power to the shoot and become part of the film for a scene or two. If the rumors are anything to go by, then Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will share the screen after 25 years. They acted together in Hindi film Hum (1991), which turned out to be a blockbuster.
