TV actor Iqbal Khan gets into a spat at show’s press conference

TV actor Iqbal Khan got into a verbal spat with a few mediapersons on Saturday in the capital, after the latter complained that the actor and his co-star arrived late for a press conference.

An eyewitness said, "The invite clearly mentioned that the press conference for the show 'Waaris', that stars Iqbal and Arti Singh, would begin at 1pm. However, the actors arrived only at 3pm. While the actors were in the hotel lobby, a few photographers who were leaving the venue told the channel's representatives, 'Naa hi aapka show itna bada hai, aur naa hi aapka channel, ki hum aapka intezaar karein'. This angered Iqbal, who asked the person to leave. Had the channel rep not intervened and taken Iqbal downstairs, the situation could have gotten worse, as both parties were not ready to back off. After Iqbal was taken to where the press conference was happening, a few journalists complained about the delay, and another verbal duel ensued. However, the situation was brought under control.
