Kanika Maheshwari to play a sexy bhabhi in Kapil’s show

Kanika Maheshwari, who essays the role of a cunning but comic bhabhi in 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' (DABH), will soon be joining the cast of The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS). According to sources, "The actress will be playing a sexy bhabhi in the show and she is expected to start shooting soon. This role was earlier offered to Shilpa Shinde, but since she was involved in a tussle with the producers of 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' over the clauses of her contract, the makers of TKSS didn't get her on board. But since the show has become quite popular, the makers are getting new characters, and Kanika fitted the show."
Kanika confirmed the news to us and said, "It's going to be a very good role. I can't talk much about the character since the details are still being worked out." In between, there were reports about Kanika quitting DABH for better prospects. "I am not quitting DABH. I am one of those hungry actors who want to do good roles. DABH is my baby and a mother cannot live without her baby. Till the time DABH is on air, I will be part of the show," she told us.
