Sussanne Khan and The Charcoal Project were hired in the year 2013 to envision a signature project in Goa by Emgee Group. Her role was that of Creative Director, who would put together all aspects of design to make the project come alive.

As Creative Director, Sussanne Khan, in a completely transparent manner hired further talent for architecture. From the very inception, Sussanne Khan in clear terms had made it known that she will be using a leading architect who would work closely with her to design the project. At no point did Sussanne Khan suggest that she herself is an architect. Thus, Rooshad Shroff was engaged formally as the architect of the project.
